https://www.italiadimetallo.it/2025/10/20/antonio-giorgio-antonio-giorgios-once-and-future-kingdom/ RECENSIONE/REVIEW : Antonio Giorgio's "ONCE AND FUTURE KINGDOM - An Epic Tribute to KAMELOT" (2024- Epic Spirit/AUSR) Per parlare del talentuoso vocalist irpino bisognerebbe evitare banalità e luoghi comuni tale è la portata qualitativa giunta alle nostre umili orecchie; ma a volte è difficile descrivere semplicemente con le parole la piena riuscita di una esecuzione sebbene di pezzi altrui. Ammetto di conoscere molto poco la vasta discografia dei Kamelot (ho soltanto tre cd, il disco d’esordio del 1995, “Karma” ed “Epica“) e che il genere non sia tra quelli a me più graditi, ma al di là delle questioni prettamente tecniche esecutive (io sono un semplice e volgare violentatore del mio quattro corde), quello che colpisce è la forza, la tenacia, la perseveranza, le capacità organizzative del nostro Antonio Giorgio che tra bonus track, romantic mix, extended e alternative version, è riuscito a registrare 26 tracce coinvolgendo per di più, svariati artisti della scena metal: Ian Perry alla voce in “Until Kingdom Come“, Davide Scuteri per la parte orchestrale in “A Sailorman’s Hymn“, sempre alla sezione vocalistica troviamo Claudia Beltrame per “House On A Hill“. Giusto per fare qualche esempio. Insomma una chicca per gli amanti della band statunitense che, riconosciuta dalla critica e dal grande successo di pubblico, è riuscita nel corso della lunga carriera a bilanciare il Power Metal Sinfonico con il Prog Metal ed alcuni spunti Gothic. Leonardo Tomei- ITALIA DI METALLO To discuss the talented vocalist from Irpinia Antonio Giorgio, one should avoid platitudes and clichés, such is the qualitative significance that has reached our humble ears; but sometimes it's difficult to simply describe with words the complete success of a performance, even of someone else's pieces. I admit I know very little about Kamelot's vast discography (I only have three CDs, their 1995 debut, "Karma" and "Epica") and that the genre isn't one of my favorites. But beyond purely technical performance issues (I'm a simple and vulgar violator of my four-string), what's striking is the strength, tenacity, perseverance, and organizational skills of our Antonio Giorgio. Between bonus tracks, romantic mixes, extended versions, and alternative versions, he managed to record 26 tracks, involving several metal artists: Ian Perry on vocals on "Until Kingdom Come," Davide Scuteri on the orchestral part of "A Sailorman's Hymn," and Claudia Beltrame on vocals for "House On A Hill." Just to name a few. In short, a gem for lovers of the American band that, recognized by critics and great public success, has managed over the course of its long career to balance Symphonic Power Metal with Prog Metal and some Gothic hints.
